The Development Office can assist by setting up a multi-year pledge and/or recurring installment plan. We can send payment reminders on any preferred schedule, or we can automatically charge a credit card at regular intervals with specified amounts.
Companies often sponsor matching gift programs that enhance their employees’ charitable contributions. When gifts are matched, Norwood benefits from the increased donation and the donor often qualifies for a higher Gift Club category. Please contact your employer’s human resources department for information on matching gifts to schools.
A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) provides donors with a centralized charitable account. It allows inclined individuals to make an irrevocable gift to a public charity, like Norwood School, that sponsors a DAF and take an immediate tax deduction. Most DAFs accept cash equivalents, securities, and other assets. Gifts of stock and securities are often a quick and simple way to give to Norwood and can provide significant tax advantages to donors. To make a gift of stock, appreciated securities, or mutual funds to Norwood, please contact Norwood’s Goldman Sachs team directly, copy Bill Teachum, prior to the asset transfer to ensure timely execution and verify asset transferability. The IRA Charitable Transfer benefits donors aged 70½ and up and is an excellent way to make gifts and receive tax benefits in return. As you plan your required minimum distributions for this year, consider using your IRA account to make the most of your charitable giving. You may donate up to $100,000 annually and will receive a tax benefit even if you take the standard deduction. To qualify, you must be age 70½ or older at the time of gift.
